Folks have repeatedly asked me about it, so here’s another way to make curry wurst. Let’s call it the “brat booth way”, because one place (which you would nowadays call a food truck around here) sold them pretty much in this fashion in my home town. I told you – every spot has their [...]  We hardly ever use our deep-fryer around here. It’s usually pulled out for special occasions only – and if I crave something like, in this case, French fries with ketchup and mayo. In Germany these are called pommes frites, or “Pommes” for short – so this way of eating them is simply “Pommes Rot/Weiß” [...] It’s “World on a Plate” time again. I missed it last month due to the Foodbuzz 24 x 24 party, and I would have missed it again this month. Why? Because I’m in lala-land with all of the outside stuff going on – had our fearless leader PolaM from “Italian Cooking in the Midwest” [...] We’re in the middle of summer, and as I’m struggling to keep my self-imposed posting schedule up, I’m also thinking, I should have made this a food/lifestyle/gardening/general musings blog. Because as I roll, I have so much more going than “just” food. But what would I have called it? “Sof’s Rants”? Better stick with [...] So, whoever thought up iced coffee with just ice cubes in it was either on a diet or just didn’t know any better. Folks, that is SO unexciting (but, well, healthier if you will) compared to what I knew as iced coffee or “Eiskaffee” back home. Because, what do you get when you [...] |
